Mother!Reader X Liechtenstein/Switzerland!Child

“Is there something you need?” Gently smiling at the siblings, you waited for their response.

“Mutter, read us a story, please.” Your little daughter smiled brightly, still speaking in her usual polite ways, showed her the book she was holding in her cute little hands, excitement in her green eyes. Her brother stood next to her, not showing the same enthusiasm on his face, but there were some in his eyes when he looked expectantly at her as a silent urging.

You only smiled as you took the book from her hand, patting her head, not too carelessly to mess up the hairdo you had done for her. The violet bow gave a lovely shade on her blond hair, where a braid peeked out, which complimented her pink dress, which she had chosen to wear today when you asked her. You put down your own book and opened the one given to you as your children hurriedly ran to get their chair to sit down.

“Mutter, please wait, I have to get something.” Your little boy stopped you before you could start and ran to another room, his also equally blond hair rustled in his move. He came back a few seconds later with his toy gun. Guns were something he liked, to your surprise. They always made those little emerald pools lit up when he saw them. When you asked about the reason he was so fixed on those toy guns, you was told that those was to protect his family, which was quite heartwarming, but those were dangerous in a way. Anyway, since he had returned to his seat, contented with what he got, you began your story-telling section.

“So, today’s story is …”

“The story was very lovely!” Your little girl smiled happily as she clapped her hands together and yawned. “I’m glad they have a happy ending. Just like you and Vati.”

“Yes. We were also lucky to have two cute little ones like you.” You laughed lightly as you peppered little kiss on your children little cheeks. The older brother scowled unhappily, but the blush on his cheek betrayed him; his little laughed joyously next to him. It had been known that your son wasn’t the type to show much emotion; which you work to your advantage to tease him and enjoyed the little faces he can make.

Despite the laughing fit, both of your children’s eyes were drowsy from sleep. It was quite late actually, and what you had told can be considered a bed time story. You giggled at your son’s attempt to stay awake but failing. His face scrunched up into a glare, trying and blinking to open his eyes but found that he can’t. His sister had already given in, breathing softly in her seat; head bobbling up and down thankfully didn’t lose her balance and toppled over. Amusement was shown in your eyes as you tucked the little one to bed.

“Gute Nacht, Mutter.” One managed to mumble out before sleep overtook them.

“Gute Nacht. Sleep well.” You smiled gently, caressing your two angels’ cheek adoringly as they slept away. Their expression in their sleep was always so adorable and you enjoyed watching they sleep. (Not in a creepy sense, not at all please.)

After a quick glance at your children’s face, you turned off the lights in the room and returned to your own, where your spouse was waiting.
