Mochi!Sweden X Reader

There was a mochi in the box, along with an intimating stare that could look through your soul. You never saw such a stare before, and it made you shudder. The little thing was void of emotion and had little glasses framed on its face. It's quite unusual to see mochis or pets to have glasses but your friend had one with glasses too, Alfred or something like that you don't remember.  However, this was not the time for wondering such things as you are really scared right now. It won't bite, right? You thought as you looked at the unmoving mochi who still had no change of emotion. Well, this silence isn't very good for your health after all.

Anyway, you named him Berwald and were surprised to know that he was actually very playful despite his looks. That will be a problem since the others were scared of him when you brought him to class. Berwald doesn't seem to know he looks scary, and you can't look at him seriously too long and tell him that because of the face. Your friend isn't much help either, since she is also scared of him. Sometimes, you wondered how he'll look if he smile, it could be very nice. You heard that even the scariest person can have a very beautiful heartwarming smile and you thought the same. And of course, that applied on Berwald too, especially when he's a mochi, which is supposed to be cute. Now how to make him smile....

On cue, like a miracle has happened, on a very nice day of christmas, your neighbor decided to visit. His name was Tino, as you remember, and was a very friendly and cheerful person who helped out everyone. You were quite suprised when you saw him dressing in a santa suit on your doorstep though, since you didn't expect anyone to come. But he had taken the time to visit, so you let him in. However, thing turned awkward after that, since Berwald came out from a room to see who just came in. Because of his stare, your neighbor was very very nervous. After serving some cookies and milk for both the guest and little food for your mochi, there was a long silence. The atmostphere was really thick and you couldn't do anything about it. Then you rememberd that you've forgotten to buy some ingredients and rushed out, calling out for Berwald to look after the house while you were gone.
When you came back, Berwald and Tino were chatting away happily. You even saw a little smile on the mochi face and that made you happy. It seemed Berwald made a friend, that's great! was what you thought as you join the conversation. Berwald was still not much of a talker with his little grunt but...

The great thing was he made progress, isn't it?
